I had no sun on June 21, but plenty on June 22.
So I measured the sun every 1/2 hour on that day.
Here is my results.

Well today was the day for measuring again.
I'm sure everyone did it.
Here is my one with the calculations compared to the one from June.
Notice that all the points I marked today are in a STRAIGHT LINE, compared to the curve of June.

I just checked google and the Earth's tilt is about 23.44 deg.
My crude markings today showed that the measurement was more than 20mm, so i made it 20.5mm
If I had have made it 20.25 my angle would be 23.44 deg. :D
I reckon that's not bad for a few dots on a bit of wood.

You reckon very well there Scotty!

I still haven't peered close enough into this ... but I think it's great work!

now I'm going back to the Discussion notes ... look at Solars great pics of PMH mag fields.
I've really got to get some iron filings
They seem to work way better than my magnetic-view film.
( The films may still come in handy for other work ;) )

Will do your compass (wire) needle dip test today Scotty ...
